Customers
Airband currently provides services to over 3,500 customers nationwide across multiple industry verticals such as healthcare, hospitality, construction, financial services, legal, manufacturing, information technology and professional services. A few of our representative customers are below:
Erickson Retirement Communities
"When we decided to select a fixed-wireless provider, Airband was the clear choice because of its speed of delivery and very reasonable price point. From an installation and customer service standpoint, Airband could move much quicker than the local telephone company could. Additionally, they provided us with the physical path diversity that is critical in maintaining our medical-grade network."
About Erickson Retirement Communities: Based in Catonsville, Md., Erickson Retirement Communities is a leading provider of full-service retirement and healthcare in the U.S. The company has been an Airband customer since 2005 and leverages fixed-wireless services in several different ways, including connectivity at its new construction locations where high-bandwidth services can be quickly delivered. Today, Retirement Living TV - an Erickson-initiated cable television network targeting people 55 years of age and better - uses a 45 Mbps Airband connection for bandwidth-intensive multimedia file sharing between various locations. Erickson also uses Airband services at its headquarters and several retirement communities to ensure reliability and path diversity from its traditional wireline network.
CoStar
"The deliverability of an Airband circuit is the primary reason we keep installing them at our various locations across the country. In fact, Airband has met the delivery date for every single one of our circuits. We've pushed them up against the wall many times, and they've always responded well to the challenge."
About CoStar: CoStar Group Inc. is the leading provider of information for more than 75,000 commercial real estate investors in the U.S., U.K. and parts of France. The company first contracted Airband for assistance during a conference in Dallas more than 5 years ago. With approximately 1,300 employees, CoStar currently uses Airband's data services to serve as the primary Internet connection for several of its locations. The company headquarters are located in Bethesda, Md., with other locations in White Marsh, Md., and Phoenix.
Medifast
"The primary reason we selected Airband was that it was readily available in our area and very easy to install. Aside from the speed of delivery, Airband was also a more cost-effective option than our other alternatives."
About Medifast: Medifast, Inc. is a top manufacturer and multi-channel vendor of meal replacement products that are clinically proven to help with weight loss. The company selected Airband as its primary Internet connection in July 2007, and uses Airband's services to host its eCommerce portal. Medifast, Inc., is a publicly traded company in the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:MED) with headquarters in Owings Mills, Md.
Strategic Network Consulting
"The flexibility of Airband's services was the primary reason we selected them as our provider. Their 'burstable' bandwidth rates mean that I only pay for the bandwidth that I need when I actually need it. This aspect is especially helpful to us because as an 'outsourced IT provider', we often require a higher bandwidth to transfer off-site data for clients as part of our managed services' offering."
About Strategic Network Consulting: Based in Bellaire, Texas, SNC has provided Information Technology (IT) services to all types of businesses since 1991. As a provider, SNC specializes in the support, management and strategic guidance for PC, server, network and IT management. The company currently utilizes Airband's fixed wireless broadband for data services as well as VoIP.
Fairytale Brownies
"As a supplier of gourmet mail-order brownies, we have a very seasonal business. With Airband, we have the flexibility of adding five or six VoIP phones during the month of December to handle the increased staff and incoming customer calls we receive during the busy, holiday season. Plus, our VoIP services are delivered over Airband's wireless circuit, so that even if our T1 wired network goes down - our phones are designed to stay up and running so we can continue to service our customers."
About Fairytale Brownies: Phoenix-based Fairytale Brownies is the nation's largest supplier of gourmet mail-order brownies and shipped over 2.5 million brownies in 2007. More than half of the company's annual sales occur during the month of December. Fairytale Brownies has relied on Airband wireless data services to serve as a path redundancy option to its primary wired (T1) network since 2004 and also recently upgraded their services to include Airband's hosted VoIP solutions in 2006.
WakeMed Health & Hopitals
“The Internet access we provided to our patients and guests through Airband’s wireless circuit was so popular that we recently upgraded our connection, which was completed easily and quickly. We also use Airband’s service for our internal production traffic and depend on it to provide carrier path diversity.”
